Elizabeth Snell Dip.FD MBIFD
Senior Funeral Director & Owner
Elizabeth has been an independent Funeral Director since 1996 and has been behind the development and growth of the business over the past 25 years. She is a member of the Wessex Region of the British Institute of Funeral Directors, and has a great interest in the education of future Funeral Directors. Elizabeth is a wife, mother and grandmother of 5 and spends her time devoted to her family and running her business. In her spare time she loves to go fishing.
Keith Snell Dip.FD MBIFD
Funeral Director & Owner
Having worked alongside Elizabeth for a number of years Keith’s interest in the profession grew and with support and guidance from Elizabeth took the Diploma in Funeral Directing and in 2009 was granted a licence to practice as a funeral director. Keith shares Elizabeth’s ethos and philosophy for the business and supports her in decision making. He is a Regional Director, Member and Treasurer of the Wessex Region of The British Institute of Funeral Directors.

Jack Melia
Office Manager
Jack joined the team in November 2019 as the Manager of our new office at Cote House, Timbrell Street. Before working within the Funeral Profession, Jack was Administrator to a local Construction Company. Jack is currently studying for a Degree through the Open University in Religious Studies. He is also the Chairman of a local Snooker and Social Club. In his spare time, Jack enjoys socialising with friends.
Marcus Read Dip. FD MBIFD
Funeral Director
Marcus started working for Elizabeth in 2009 as a pall bearer and driver. As the business expanded he supported the growth and at the same time studied for the Diploma in Funeral Directing. In time and with encouragement from Elizabeth he also obtained his licence to practice as a funeral director. Marcus is married to Elizabeth and Keith’s daughter Allyson, they have 3 children who keep them busy.
Jack Melia

Heshmon Brown
Funeral Director
Before moving in to the Funeral service, Heshmon worked within the care sector as a carer and also ran his own afternoon school football club business in various schools. He also drives our hearse and limousines if required to do so. Hesh is married and has two daughters. Sundays you will find him in church playing the drums in the band.
Charles Stone
Funeral Operative
Charles has worked with Elizabeth Snell & Family since 2008 and drives the Hearse and Limousine and also works in our chapel of rest. Prior to joining us he ran his own successful business. His hobbies include Archery, and he is also a qualified Scout instructor. Charlie is also a Cub Scout leader for 1st Trowbridge Cub Scouts. Charlie is happily married to Wendy and they have six children and 2 grandchildren.

Steve Bryant

Steve is the newest member of our team, having joined at the start of April 2020. He brings with him a wealth of experience having previously worked for another local Funeral Director. He has been working as a Data Engineer but feels that he is now ready to return to the funeral profession. He has joined us principally to assist Charlie at the Chapel of Rest. Steve loves sports and socialising with friends and family. However, most of his time is now spent with his young family.
